Andres (Andy) Torres-Figueroa
Engineer
Andy Torres is an aerospace engineer with five years of experience applying computational methods to solve complex engineering challenges in aerospace, biomedical, and energy production applications. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Andy has completed multiple internships at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, where he supported human spaceflight initiatives and developed simulation tools from the ground up. His expertise includes spacecraft docking dynamics, high-fidelity modeling, multiscale modeling, and the development of interdisciplinary simulation frameworks. His current research focuses on multiphysics simulation of plume-surface interactions during lunar landings.
