Brendon Cavainolo, Ph.D.

Senior Engineer

Dr. Brendon Cavainolo is an aerospace engineer with 5 years of experience in both academia and industry. He holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Cavainolo has served as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and has previous experience at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and Battelle.

Dr. Cavainolo’s expertise lies in evaluating multiphase fluid flow in context to air vehicle design. This work includes the use of numerical methods and computational tools for All-Mach multiphase flows and microfluidics. His notable research contributions include a molten sand microfluidic infiltration model, analysis of molten regolith’s interaction with Lunar structures, and gathering insights into the effect of cavitation on high-Mach shock-droplet interactions.
