Michael Kinzel, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Kinzel is an aerospace engineer with over 15 years of expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), multiphase flow modeling, and high-speed aerodynamics. He is also authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications advancing the fields of turbulence, fluid-structure interactions, and spaceflight dynamics.

Dr. Kinzel’s work is highly collaborative, supported by organizations including NASA, the Office of Naval Research (ONR), U.S. Air Force, Space Force, National Science Foundation (NSF), and private-sector leaders such as Eli Lilly, General Motors, and GE. At Lumina Flows, he contributes technical depth and strategic insight, helping translate complex flow phenomena into actionable, real-world innovations.
